Amanda Brugel

(February 27th of 2010 to Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a sleepy community on that part of the island of Montreal known as"the West Island. It is a part of the island that has been called "the West Island." West Island has a lot of diverse communities. For those who haven't heard of it often mistake it for an island that is west-facing. Amanda Brugel is said to have been born on West Island. But it's not the case. Brugel was raised in Courtice located just outside of Oshawa. Early ambitions were to become an expert dancer. But, a growing increase caused her to surpass her dance partners she was able to have. An article in the Toronto Star article revealed she's 6 feet 1 inch tall and has heels. When I surpassed the size of my male companion, I stopped. Numerous former dancers choose to become actors. For Brugel, it was the encouragement from her drama teacher in high school who pushed her to the path she wanted. She was encouraged to audition for a part in her school's production. It was her choice to take on the principal role for Anne of Green Gables after she had a go at. It led to a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program and earned an Associate in Fine Arts degree in 2000. Since then, Brugel has been in over 60 productions both large and small. One of the most memorable was the time she was cast as Rita in The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was only seen on a few instances in the initial season of the series The Handmaid's tale. The only Canadian member.
